Helping Our World Continue To Sparkle
My mission is to not only help others make everyday sparkle, but I want to spread awareness to help prevent further harm to our beautiful world and help her continue to sparkle.
More than ever we need to be conscious of what we are contributing to. The world is in dire need for us all to wake up and stop supporting things that are aiding in the destruction of our world and harm to all living. Please check out the film Idiocracy as it shows what our world is turning into if we continue as we are.
I really feel called to speak up as it is an alarming issue. Our world is way too over populated as it is for our world to sustain. I know we are programmed to think that’s what we do, we get married and reproduce. We need more light beings in this world not more damaged people that will aid in more destruction. So please before you decide to reproduce really think long and hard about the life you can provide for this child. Have you got trauma and issues that you haven’t alchemised yet? If so really work on getting through those otherwise you will just introduce another poor soul who will continue your painful experience. If you are struggling to even look after yourself, or in a relationship that isn’t healthy then what makes you think introducing another person into the mix will make your life easier? It won’t, it will make your life even tougher and that poor child will grow up being damaged and and causing further pain into our world.
Ok so you’re not responsible for the nastiness that many companies are happy to do but, by you purchasing something that has been made using slave labour, made using materials that are aiding in the destruction of our planet or adding to illnesses, you are supporting this and giving companies the demand for them to carry on as they are.
Fast fashion is the second largest contributing factor to the destruction of our world and is rife with human slavery. If it is cheap, think about how and why that is that cheap. Clothes take time and money to make and should definitely last longer than a few washes. If you’re bored of an outfit, up cycle it or give it, sell it to someone or give to charity. Approximately £140 million worth of clothing goes to landfill every year, we need to be conscious of what we are sending to landfill, our world cannot sustain the amount of waste that we create. Not only that but many fabrics are doing so much harm to people and our world. Cotton is very damaging, yes you heard me correctly. One of the most commonly used fabrics is really harmful. The pesticides they use to grow it, give the pickers bad side-effects as well as the world and other life. Producing cotton requires large amounts of water that will further pollute our world. Dyeing processes can also can be very damaging.
I source my fabrics from all around the world and only order the most sustainable of fabrics, even down to the threads and labels of my garments have all been made using no harmful dyes and either recycled materials, organic or from sustainable sources. My packaging is either made from recycled materials or made from sustainable grass that you can further recycle and the small bags are compostable. The postal service I use to send my creations to you is as eco friendly as possible too. I love learning and finding ways to be more sustainable and thankfully more and more people are investing in making more and more things sustainable and less harmful, I look forward to learning more and sharing with you.
Be choosey what you are supporting, buy from companies that care about you, and the world, the energy is far greater and we need help lighting up this world before it is too late and we destroy it. Greenwashing is a thing, so you still need to research a little. A good way to tell is if it is made consciously, is you will feel how passionate they are about saving our world and will go into detail describing how much they care and how ethical their product is.
With an alarming amount of products from skincare, body care, pharmaceuticals, supplements, perfumes, essential oils and so called remedies being chemically altered, we really need to be careful what we are using. As adulterated unnatural products make them harmful to us as well as our world. This is why I love doTERRA because they offer you some healthy 100% natural and certified pure alternatives, that won’t come with the nasty side effects that many unnatural products have and our actually doing incredibly good things in our world. Prevention is better than cure so by using products that are safe to use, you can relax and enjoy life without the added worry of harmful products. All of doTERRA products have been tested for their purity and can do wonders for our mind, body and spirit. The rule is, if you can’t ingest something then you shouldn’t be putting it on your skin as you will absorb it into your body.
Something that also helps and are amazing is making your own beauty products with 100% natural and un harmful ingredients. I make products for my hair, body and face and wow are they so much nicer than what you can buy. By doing this you are lessoning the plastic containers you buy and use and you will have the best beauty products for you that are not harming you or our beautiful world. I will share some of my products that I make on my blog, so stay tuned.
Being conscious of what you are supporting and being proactive gives you such great satisfaction and makes you feel great that you are not supporting nor aiding to harm of the world and all living.
As I previously mentioned about landfill being a worrying concern. We can help not add to this by not buying disposable items and items that are contained in one use packaging. One of the things that upsets me and has a big negative impact on our world is supermarkets, the amount of one use unnecessary packaging is appalling, and not only that but the farmers etc are usually underpaid and because all love has been lost, therefore the quality of the food isn’t the greatest and can have adverse reactions to our bodies later on, as well as our world; bad energy. Support your local farms, butchers and green grocers, not only will you get the best quality produce but there is minimal packaging and you know where it has come from, and the produce will be far fresher and tastier.
Even better start to grow your own produce, there really isn’t anything more fulfilling than growing food yourself, the love you put in you will get back ten fold. Also having chickens is great fun and the eggs are incredible, far tastier than what you will get in supermarkets. Reach out to friends and get them to grow things, its a great way to have more community and sharing is caring.
Having a water butt to collect the rain to water your plants is also a great way to help our planet and give your plants the best water. I have an old whiskey barrel to collect our water, it looks amazing and plus it helping reduce waste by reclaiming its use.
I’m not saying become a vegan or vegetarian but what I will say is, we don’t need to consume as much meat and fish as the majority of the world is doing, it’s actually not healthy and aiding to illnesses and also very damaging for a world. Check out the documentary Cowspiracy and Seaspiracy for a glimpse on how bad it is. If we all refrained from eating meat at least a few nights a week we can make a true difference. Some of the tastiest meals I cook do not contain meat and I do not miss meat at all. One of my passions is cooking and creating incredibly tasty recipes and meals. Everyone I cook for is blown away and doesn’t miss having meat. Maybe one day I’ll share some of my recipes with you.
If the meat is cheap then ask yourself how that could possibly had a good life and be looked after for being that little in price. Wagu beef is a great example of why you should only eat meat that the animal has had a good life. These cows are looked after so well, truly loved. Massaged every day, fed the best grass and as a result the produce is amazing. Whatever you give love to will always shine bright. Surely if you are going to kill something to eat you would at least like them to of had a good life. If you can’t afford decent meat then only have it as a treat which it should be. Eating vegetarian is so much more affordable.
Disposables products like make up wipes, cotton wool and cotton buds are also a big no no, not only are they damaging to our world to produce but will end up in landfill and most likely into our oceans polluting them further. You can get reusable pads that you can wash to take your make up off with etc, look for bamboo reusable pads, bamboo grows really quick and doesn’t come with all the nasty chemicals and damaging effects to produce. Replacements for cotton buds, you can get ones made from bamboo, however these are still single use, so I recommend looking for reusable silicon buds. These are amazing as you can clean after each use. Also please avoid buying plastic toothbrushes and plastic flossing picks, you can buy bamboo tooth brushes and floss picks. I love the site www.peacewiththewild.co.uk they have so many amazing products that are in line with keeping our world beautiful. Kitchen roll, use washable napkins and washable cleaning cloths. Toilet roll you can get bamboo, I especially like Uranus wipers, not only is their name, graphics and packaging awesome but their product is so good and less damaging to our world. There really are so many alternatives now so please do have a search.
Avoiding buying items in big plastic containers even if they say eco friendly. The energy that goes into making plastic, recycling and transporting to you is so unnecessary, plus the majority of what we put aside for recycling doesn’t actually get recycled just shipped off to less privileged countries to be dumped there and pollute our world even further. Micro plastics are a huge problem, so please be conscious of what plastic you’re buying. Most cleaning products are made up of mainly water so them being in big plastic bottles is crazy. Companies and products that I am loving that are addressing these problems are www.truearth.com for their laundry detergents and cleaning products, they come in small strips that are contained in cardboard NO Plastic or nasty chemicals that will damage our environment. www.smolproducts.com have amazing cleaning products also that I love and highly recommend, if you already have cleaning spray bottles then don’t throw them out, just buy the tablets as you can rinse the bottles out with water and put the tablets in and fill with water, then you’re saving having to throw out perfectly good spray bottles. If you can reuse do so. Less waste is best.
Also avoiding plastic as much as you can is a must, even if it says recyclable. You may think you are doing your part by dividing your recyclables but, the majority of that doesn’t actually get recycled. Our councils send it to less privileged countries to be dumped there because it costs them less than actually getting them recycled, disgraceful I know, this is why we need to be more conscious of what we are using.
For the dog owners out there. We all want our pets to have a long healthy life and we know how important good nutrition is for us and we know how many nasty things go into our food. Can you imagine what they think is acceptable for our dogs? I highly recommend Rocketo dog food, they are a conscious company that care about our furry friends and our world and create incredibly nutritious food that my dogs love and are all organic and from sustainable sources. I especially love their insect food as insects are highly nutritious and are the most sustainable source of food, my dogs truly love this. Also poo bags are mostly made from plastic that doesn’t biodegrade which is a big issue, I like this company the green walker as all of their bags are biodegradable, they also do bin liners too which we all should be using as all of rubbish will literally be around for hundreds of years because it will be trapped in plastic that doesn’t break down.
For the chocolate lovers out their, I highly recommend Tony’s chocoloney, not only is their chocolate super delicious but they are doing incredible things in our world to try and stop slavery in the chocolate world. Yes you heard me, the chocolate industry is really sinister and is rife with slavery. Tony’s chocoloney are really making massive movements in this industry to change the chocolate industry.
Also one of the most important thing our world needs is for us to connect with nature more and be kind to each other, ourselves, all beings and our world.
If we all made a few small changes then we can truly make a difference.
Lets make everyday sparkle for you, me, for our world.
